CAPUT MORTUUM

Comfort dressing: Cashmere jumper - stolen from Dad
white slip - Rough- $3
sheer tights - so cheap from China they're almost free!
patent brogues - $30
bag - thrifted $5
vogues - 3 for $4. I bought them from an op-shop so I won't feel guilty cutting them up.

After my original plan of hitting the biggest op-shop in town went to custard I spent the Saturday frolicking around the city with my flatmate in search of the legendary make up sale. We found it. I bought more additional crap to add to my already ridiculously big pile of ridiculous crap.

Currently procrastinating... should really go see a hypnotist or someone like that about it.

The weather has been so bleak lately. All I want to do is bum around. Monogramming is GAY.

P.S. I have something really kool to showoff for next time!

UNI

Sorry I'm currently really busy with uni work and such, so no time for a life... and... I GOT the JOB!!!
via park and cube

I'm currently so in love with these knitted shorts! They would be PERFECT for Wellington winter! Functional yet stylish. It's what I call an all rounder.
I've just started working this week.
I'm such a pro with cash register. No joke.

DU JUAN, VOGUE CHINA APRIL 2010

One of my favorite editorials of Du Juan, I think this is a beautiful representation of Chinese dance during the Mao era.

I especially love the above picture.

EPIPHANY

Since moving to Wellington and becoming a full time student I've come to realize how ridiculously priced clothes are. As I'm yet to find a job, I'm really trying to watch my spending in every possible way since I'm only living off my savings from last year and a little student allowance. Being a fashion student I love to be chic and dress up at any opportunity, I'm hoping that you all realize that you don't have to spend a fortune to look chic and polished.

here I'm wearing: new T-shirt, Cotton On-$5 (on sale)
leather skirt, thrifted- $27
shoes, from China- $20
geek glasses, Equip- gift
bangle- Bling- $5
ring- gift
necklace- gift
watch- mortier Cartier- antique shop- $50
Chanel earrings- Chanel Paris-150 euros (the only thing I splurged on)

I was super happy to find this ice burg green T at Cotton On the other day, I've been looking for clothes this colour since buying my ice burg green mug back in December in China.

Hope this has been an interesting post, ciao

WHERE'D YOU GO, WHO'D YOU SEE, WHAT'D YOU KNOW

Sorry for the lack of updates, lately I've been super lazy doing nothing due to everyone leaving town for the holidays.
So instead of being cooped up inside for another day watching Sex and the City on rerun I ventured out into the city to get my brogues fixed and hand out a couple of C.V.'s hopeful that at least one of them will land me a job, that I desperately need.
very simple outfit

thrifed shirt which I bought yesterday
thrifted Levis- DIY
necklace given by a friend (which I broke the other day, then superglued back together. Hay you gotta do what you gotta do as a poor student).

my flat mate just texted me and informed me that he's gonna cook dinner, and apparently he has something lined up... can't wait, he's such a good cook!

TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR

Snippets. Really loving beige right now, just bought a beige cowboy inspired shirt from Recycle Boutique the other day (embellished with jewels)... must do a post on them... soon.

Love these brogues I got from China, they're flats which means I can wear them as I'm dashing back and forth from uni. Unfortunately I've been wearing them so much lately its time for me to replace the heel...

Close up of my purple velvet tights very comfortable + very warm = very suitable for Wellington.
